Altai Resources Inc. is a Canadian resource company with a diversified portfolio of natural gas, oil and gold properties in Canada.
Altai holds a large, non joint ventured, land package with 100% interest in the heart of the St. Lawrence Lowlands Utica Shale gas play in Quebec – the Sorel-Trois Rivières natural gas property of five permits aggregating to 68,483 hectares (169,221 acres), with significant potential for hydrocarbon production and storage. In addition, Altai retains a 15% gross royalty in the adjoining permit of 12,334 hectares (30,477 acres) held by Repsol Canada Energy Partnership (formerly Talisman Energy Canada).
Altai owns 45% working interest in the Cessford oil producing property of 240 acres of Alberta Crown leases in the Cessford area of central Alberta since late December 2012. There are currently four long-life oil wells producing from the Glauconitic "C" Pool and future infill locations for two additional wells, apart from undrilled lands to be explored and for drilling opportunities in the future.
Altai has a 50% joint venture interest in Malartic gold property in the Val d'Or area, Quebec.
The company is debt free and well capitalised.
